Wodonga South Primary School. Moving to the Future, Honouring the Past (2009)

On 1 January 2015 Arts Victoria will formally transition into Creative Victoria, a new State Government body dedicated to supporting, championing and growing the arts and creative industries.

Creative Victoria will bring together Victoria’s strengths across arts and culture, screen and design. It will be part of the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources and report to the Minister for Creative Industries, Martin Foley MP.

A funding and advisory body, Creative Victoria will acknowledge the link between creative activity and economic development and will take a broad view of creative industries to maximise social and economic benefits for Victoria.

Victorian Government branches and agencies with responsibilities in the arts, cultural, screen and design sectors are currently transitioning into the new body. As Creative Victoria develops, information about funding opportunities and support for Victorian artists or arts organisations will be available on this website.
