Meet the Minister

Ted Baillieu is the 46th Premier of Victoria and the Minister for the Arts.

He was elected Leader of the Victorian Liberal Party in 2006 and has been the Member for Hawthorn since 1999. He served as Shadow Minister in a number of portfolios, including Education and Training, Gaming, Planning, and of course the Arts (from 2006-2010).

A former architect, Ted became involved in public life to help make a change for the better, a commitment demonstrated by the numerous volunteer positions he has held across the community. In the arts, he served on the boards of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Australian Children's Television Foundation.
