Arts in Education

Through the arts we learn about ourselves; exploring what we feel, value and believe.

Research shows that arts education is important in the development of young minds, contributes to student engagement and learning across the curriculum. An arts-rich education supports young people to become confident and creative individuals, as well as active and informed citizens.

From performance groups who visit schools across the state, to digital media workshops and diverse exhibitions, Victoria's broad range of arts in eduction projects and programs - by more than 110 organisations - challenge, enrich and engage school students of all ages. To explore what each organisation offers see Victorian Education programs.

Arts Victoria supports creative collaborations between artists, arts organisations, students, teachers and school communities through the funding program. See the rich outcomes of these projects at Education Partnerships Video Clips.
