Water Course: A creative discourse into and through art
Exploring the changing environment of drought-affected Dimboola provided the basis for artist Michael Sheill's project at Dimboola Memorial Secondary College.
Together, Sheill and 45 year nine and ten students explored the local environment and created a series of temporary sculptures using objects collected along the banks of the Wimmera River. The beautiful, fragile and surprising works reflected the student's relationship to their environment and their newfound engagement with art.
