Craft Cubed is composed of exhibitions, professional development, online programs, the Craft Hatch market and other satellite events, including open studios, workshops and more. The 2011 theme is HYBRID. Recognising the fluidity essential to experimentation, the theme will explore collaboration, new technologies, cross-disciplinary practice and emerging forms of craft and design.

Bringing together Australian and international writers, thinkers and readers for chat, banter and provocation, the festival program includes panel sessions, workshops, talks, book launches, readings and a schools' program.

It is open access, meaning artists are responsible for the creation and presentation of their own events. The festival encompasses a wide variety of artforms including theatre, comedy, music, performance art, film, cabaret, digital art and circus.
