Innovative and intriguing, Aphids is a Melbourne-based, artist-led cultural organisation unafraid to traverse art forms and borders. Working nationally and internationally, Aphids creates projects at the nexus of contemporary music, performance, technology and site-specific practice.

2011 marks the company's seventeenth year of operation and its first year under the directorial guidance of Artistic Director Willoh S. Weiland - a cross-artform performance maker who undertook a Synapse residency at the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing, Swinburne University of Techonology.

Aphids received Annual Operations funding through Arts Victoria's Organisations program.
