As a young child, visual artist Noël Skrzypczak relocated with her family from Toronto, Canada to Canberra, Australia, where she completed her Visual Arts degree at the Australian National University School of Art.
Known for her distinctive use of paint, Noël has participated in group exhibitions across Australia and exhibited solo in Melbourne and Sydney. Art & Australia has described Noël as "an alchemist of form" exerting "the full power of her materials in psychedelic, free-form works".
Now based in Melbourne, Noël has recently completed a residency at Gertrude Contemporary Art Space and the Australian Council for the Arts studio in Tokyo, Japan.
Noël received an Arts Victoria grant for the creation of her latest exhibition 'Talking to Strangers' which opened at Heide Museum of Modern Art on 25 June 2011.
