Education Partnerships

The Education Partnerships program supports collaborations between professional artists, arts organisations and Victorian schools. It supports partnerships to deliver strong artistic and learning outcomes.

Aims

The Education Partnerships program aims to:

• Enrich learning and teaching through partnerships with professional artists
• Contribute to the development of engaged, creative and confident students
• Enrich professional arts practice through partnerships with young people and school communities.

Categories

The program has two categories:

• Artists in Schools - supports primary and secondary schools to engage a professional artistProfessional artistA professional artist...Has specialist training in their field (not necessarily in academic institutions).Is recognised by their peers (professional practitioners working in the art form area).Is committed to devoting significant time to the artistic activity.Has a history of professional public presentation. to work with students and teachers on a creative project.
• Extended School Residencies - supports creative collaborations between arts organisationsProfessional Arts OrganisationsLegally constituted entities in Victoria with a track record of management and professional arts program delivery. and schools over a minimum of two school terms.
