Indigenous Travel and Professional Development

Indigenous Travel and Professional Development supports a range of opportunities for Indigenous arts practitioners and arts workers residing in Victoria.

The opportunities are offered to support Indigenous arts practitioners and Indigenous arts workers to attend significant national conferences, markets and events. The opportunities may be offered all year round across art-forms in literature, visual and performing arts.

The purpose of this category is to:

  • support Victorian artist/arts-worker representation nationally,
  • to support career development for professional artists/art workers, and;
  • to market and showcase Indigenous artists living in Victoria.

Current Opportunities

There are currently no opportunities offered. Check back on this page for future opportunities.

Opportunities listed under Current Opportunities in the Overview section are open for application. Application forms are unique for each opportunity offered through this program and will be available on this page as application opening dates approach.

Proposals

Arts Victoria may accept proposals to attend other significant conferences and events. If you are seeking support to attend an event not listed in our opportunities there are two options available:

  1. Suggest an event/conference for consideration to include in the scholarship program by emailing us information about the event at least four months prior to the event. (Please refer to the Overview page on the purpose of the program prior to submitting a proposal)
  2. Send a proposal for support to attend the event. Proposals to attend events/conferences must be discussed with the Program Manager prior to submission.

Assessment for this category is completed by Arts Victoria staff or an independent panel, dependant on the nature of the opportunity provided.

Each opportunity offered through this program will involve different responsibilities. Please contact the Program Manager to discuss the responsibilities related to each opportunity.
