Changes to Arts Funding Programs
Arts Victoria's funding programs are changing from 1 July 2013. If you're a Victorian artist, arts organisation or group looking for support for your project, find out more about the changes or read the FAQs.
The International program supports Victorian artists and arts organisations to build their international profile, networks and employment opportunities through export, touring and cultural exchange activity.
Aims
The International program aims to:
- Develop longer term, viable opportunities for professional Victorian artists and arts organisations to present their work internationally.
- Strengthen global networks with artists and creative communities worldwide.
- Contribute to the development of a robust, sustainable and outward focused Victorian arts sector.
- Strengthen Victoria's reputation as major cultural centre in the Asia-Pacific region.
Categories
The program has two categories:
Targeted Initiatives
In addition to the two application-based, competitive funding categories, the International Program supports a range of targeted initiatives that increase export opportunities for Victorian artists and raise the State's profile as an international cultural centre.
These strategic opportunities are identified by Arts Victoria and range from enabling the participation of Victorian artists in major international arts markets, to supporting the Melbourne Art Fair and creating promotional tools like the Export Guide to the Performing Arts in Victoria.
