Key Arts Organisations
In 2010, Arts Victoria provided $37.8 million to 106 key arts organisations including festivals, museums and galleries, performing arts centres, performing arts organisations and industry and cultural development organisations. See a list of supported organisations here.
The following pages provides data on these organisations collected through an annual reporting process.
- Funding from Arts Victoria represented around 13% of total revenue for the supported organisations.
- Almost half of all income (46%) came from box office, merchandise and other earned revenue.

- The sector employed over 4,000 people, equivalent to 1,819 full time employees.
- Events by these organisations attracted 8.7 million attendances.
