• In 2007, 325,300 people worked in the visual arts sector in Victoria, in either a paid or voluntary capacity. The greatest number of people worked in photography (148,300 people) or computer art (138,600 people).
• In 2007, 237,100 people worked in the craft sector in Victoria, in either a paid or voluntary capacity. The greatest number of people worked in textiles (81,900 people) and furniture-making and wood crafts (68,400 people).
• 124,400 Victorians worked in design in 2007, in a paid or unpaid capacity.
• In 2006-07, there were 4,161, visual arts and craft businesses in Victoria.
