On the Road Again - Regional Arts Funding Information Sessions in a Town Near You

Are you a regionally-based Victorian artist or arts organisation, or do you have an exciting arts project based in regional Victoria? If so, there is a whole range of Federal and State Government arts grants available to support your projects.

Throughout February 2009, Arts Victoria and Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) will join forces to host a series of information sessions across regional Victoria.

The sessions will assist artists and arts organisations to navigate through the Government arts funding opportunities on offer, and aim to de-mystify the grant application process.

At several sessions, Arts Victoria staff will also be available to meet with potential applicants one on one to discuss their projects.

Victorian Government - Arts Victoria Funding Opportunities

Arts Victoria offers a range of grants to support Victorian artists, arts organisations and projects across the State, including some with a specific focus on regional Victoria.

This includes support for the creation and presentation of new artistic work, regional and international touring projects, community-based professional arts projects and residencies and more.

Australian Government - Regional Arts Fund

Regionally-based Victorian organisations and individuals can apply for Project Grants of up to $15,000 for projects involving professional artists that result in a public outcome in the community in which they are based.

The Regional Arts Fund (RAF) is an initiative of the Australian Government, which gives all Australians wherever they live better access to opportunities to practise and experience the arts. The RAF supports the arts in regional, rural and remote Australia and is administered in Victoria by Regional Arts Victoria (RAV).

It is essential that you contact RAV if you are interested in applying. The closing date for Regional Arts Fund applications is Tuesday 10 March 2009 (for projects commencing after 30 June 2009)
