These organisations offer diverse learning experiences that engage students in learning across the curriculum.

Galleries and museums provide tours, workshops and presentations related to their permanent and temporary exhibitions. Most provide learning and teaching resources and/or workshops linked to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and/or the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS).

ACCA aims to make contemporary art accessible and interesting to a wide range of audiences. Schools, tertiary and community groups, as well as the general public can participate in a range of activities linked to exhibitions and involving contemporary art, artists and ideas.

ACMI is inspiring the next generation of moving image makers with special screenings, lectures and innovative hands-on workshops for primary and secondary school students, tertiary students and educators.

Education programs at BFAG include tours, workshops and lectures for students which support and enrich classroom practice and extend knowledge and understanding of the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.

How Now Cow - the bovine influence in art. (2007)

Bendigo Art Gallery offers a range of constantly changing educational activities to help students and teachers understand the importance of visual arts in the school curriculum.

Burrinja specialises in educational tours of its indigenous collection. Schools and groups can participate in hands-on Aboriginal art classes with an indigenous artist or take part in programs studying indigenous art and culture.

CCP offers floor talks, discussion based tours, lectures and workshops for secondary and tertiary students, teachers, community and youth groups. Through our education programs we aim to promote the appreciation and understanding of contemporary photo-based art to a wide range of audiences.

The Australian Racing Museum offers schools a varity of free, innovative and fun educational activities. In addition to being a great excursion venue, the Museum brings thoroughbred racing into your school with a unique outreach program and resource material.

The Chinese Museum is Chinatown’s hidden gem: a world of comprehensive school tours and cultural workshop programs for school students from years 3 to 12. The museum incorporates permanent and changing exhibitions and events - including Dai Loong - the world’s largest dragon. The museum also offers a Chinese Cultural Resource Box featuring a range of relevant and engaging education resources which can be ordered and delivered to your school.

A comprehensive education program is offered linking curricula with gold, Melbourne and family life. Programs are presented by experienced staff to suit the needs of your class and are designed for years 3-12. Education kits, support material and special programs are available.  The City Museum is housed in the Old Treasury Building, which was built in the 1850’s to store the colony’s gold and provide offices for the leaders of the young colony.  City Museum combines social history with historical objects, multimedia technology and contemporary art and crafts across a range of permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Craft Victoria is pleased to offer secondary school, TAFE and university groups free guided visits to experience the broad range of handmade, contemporary craft and design on show. Craft Victoria's gallery spaces exhibit an ever changing selection of cutting edge, experimental work from local, national and international practitioners.
