Arts Victoria requires personal information for:

  • Grant processing
  • Assessment purposes

To provide transparency and accountability for the use of public resources, and to help promote Victoria's arts sector, Arts Victoria publishes information identifying successful grant recipients and the grants they have received.

Arts Victoria treats all the personal information provided by applicants in support of a grant application in accordance with the:

  • Information Privacy Act 2000
  • Public Records Act 1973
  • Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.

Personal details are kept by Arts Victoria on a secure database.

From time to time Arts Victoria may use this mailing list to send you information about our funding programs and activities. If you prefer that your name and address is removed from the mailing list, or you wish to amend your details, please contact us. This mailing list is confidential and will not be made available to third parties, unless otherwise authorised by law.

If you provide any personal information about other individuals in support of your grant application, it is your responsibility to ensure that they are aware you have done so.

Freedom of information

Arts Victoria, through the Department of Premier and Cabinet, is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 under which any member of the public may request access to documents held by State Government agencies. This may include information contained in, or incidental to, applications received by Arts Victoria.

It is Arts Victoria's policy that requests for access to documents containing such details will be referred to the relevant applicant for comment before release. Arts Victoria also has discretion to exempt certain documents from release.
