Victoria Rocks

Victoria Rocks is a dedicated program that supports Victorian contemporary musicians and groups and aims to strengthen the local contemporary music industry.

It encompasses all genres of contemporary music and is open to artists at various career stages.

Aims

Victoria Rocks aims to support the creative growth and viability of the Victorian music industry, by:

• Equipping Victorian musicians to face the challenges of a rapidly changing era in the music industry.
• Encouraging artists to explore new initiatives and strategies to connect their music with audiences.
• Supporting industry bodies that provide education and professional development to Victorian artists.

Categories

The program has three categories:

• Music Career Building Grants - assists artists to take the next step in their career, including support for recording original works, CD manufacture, marketing, promotion, website development and digital initiatives.
• Music Touring Grants - supports tours to regional, interstate and international markets. Includes funding for artists or their managers to attend music conferences and business related meetings outside Victoria.
• Strategic Music Industry Partnerships - supports organisations to deliver new ideas, innovations and industry development initiatives that will strengthen the Victorian music scene.
