There are few, if any, experiences that rival the atmosphere of a live performance. And there are few places in the world that offer the diversity and quality of performances available right here in Victoria.
We've got some of the best of theatre, opera, circus, cabaret, dance, music and other live performance happening throughout the state ready to entertain you.
If you haven't been to the performing arts in a while - or ever - sign up to Test Drive the Arts and we'll give you two free tickets to come and enjoy one of the shows on offer here on the website.
Just pick the show you want to see, read the terms and conditions, and hit the "Sign Up Now" button - follow the prompts and you're on your way.
If you don't see anything you want to try out - you can still sign up for the news, opportunities and special offers we send out to Test Drivers. You can apply for your two free tickets later on when you see something on the site you'd really like to try.

Tickets to many shows are snapped up within hours, so you have to be quick! We'll be adding new tickets as they become available, so if you're unsuccessful today, please visit us again.

Sign up and get your free tickets to the arts in 5 easy steps.
Step 1
Search for an event to Test Drive. There are three ways to find what you want:
You can only get free introductory Test Drive the Arts tickets once, so please choose carefully!
Step 2
Confirm that you are eligible:
- Are you a Victorian Resident?
- Are you over 18 years of age?
- Have not attended a performance with the chosen Test Drive Company within the past three years?
- Have not applied for and received Test Drive the Arts tickets in the past?
NB: There are some venue or performance specific conditions. Carefully read the terms and conditions of the performance you wish to attend.
Step 3
Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
Hit the "Sign Up Now" button.
Step 4
Complete and submit the Test Drive the Arts registration form. (Tickets are limited, so you will receive an email from the ticket provider telling you whether or not your request has been successful. If not, you're welcome to apply for another show.)
If you're successful, the organisation you are Test Driving will then contact you directly to arrange for your tickets to be sent or picked up.
Step 5
Attend the performance and complete the quick feedback form.
